Privacy Policy

Pacific Construction (“Pacific Construction,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit pac-construction.com (the “Site”), contact us, subscribe to our communications, or apply for a job with us. It also describes the privacy rights available to residents of California, the rest of the United States, and the European Economic Area (“EEA”), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

Please read this Policy carefully. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. Where required by law, we rely on your consent (for example, through our cookie banner) before placing non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies on your device.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the Site, and information from third parties.

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Contact / quote-request forms. When you submit an inquiry, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, company name (if provided), and the contents of your message or project details.
  • Email newsletter / mailing list. If you subscribe, we collect your email address and any name or preferences you provide.
  • Job applications. If you apply for a position, we collect the information in your application, which may include your name, contact details, resume/CV, work history, education, qualifications, references, and any other information you choose to share. Please do not submit sensitive information (such as government ID numbers) unless we specifically request it as part of the hiring process.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including:

  • Device and browser information (for example, browser type, operating system, and language settings);
  • Internet protocol (IP) address and approximate, city-level location derived from it;
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, referring/exit pages, and dates/times of visits;
  • A randomly generated identifier used to recognize a returning browser for analytics purposes.

We use these technologies to operate the Site, understand aggregate usage, and improve performance. See Section 4 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies) for details and your choices.

1.3 Information From Third Parties

We may receive information from service providers that help us operate the Site and our business (for example, analytics and email service providers), and from job-application or recruiting platforms if you apply through them.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide quotes, information, or services you request;
  • Send newsletters, updates, and marketing communications you have requested (you can opt out at any time);
  • Evaluate and process job applications and manage our recruiting and hiring;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and understand how it is used;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and technical problems;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements; and
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK/Switzerland)

If you are located in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal information under the following legal bases:

  • Consent — for non-essential cookies, marketing emails, and certain optional processing. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Contract / pre-contract steps — to respond to your requests and to process job applications.
  • Legitimate interests — to operate and secure the Site, understand usage on an aggregate basis, and run our business, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Where required by law, we load non-essential cookies and trackers only after you consent through our cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the banner or your browser settings.

The main categories we use:

Category Purpose Examples
Strictly necessary Enable core site functionality and security. These are required for the Site to work. Session/security cookies
Analytics Help us understand aggregate, anonymous usage so we can improve the Site. Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*)
Embedded media Allow embedded videos to play. Set by the video providers when content loads. YouTube (YSC, related cookies); Vimeo (vuid)

Google Analytics 4 (GA4). We use GA4 to measure website traffic and usage on an aggregate basis. GA4 assigns a randomly generated identifier to recognize a browser and is designed to report statistical, non-identifying usage information; we do not use it to identify individual visitors, and GA4 does not store IP addresses. You can learn about Google’s practices at policies.google.com/privacy and opt out of Google Analytics via the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Embedded YouTube and Vimeo videos. Pages containing embedded videos may cause YouTube (Google) or Vimeo to set cookies and collect data when the video loads. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies.

Your choices. You can manage cookies through our cookie banner, through your browser settings, and through the opt-out tools above. If you select “Reject All” or decline non-essential cookies, we will not load analytics or embedded-media trackers that require consent.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described below:

  • Service providers. With vendors who perform services for us (for example, website hosting, analytics, email delivery, and recruiting tools) under contracts that limit their use of your information.
  • Embedded content providers. With YouTube/Google and Vimeo when embedded videos load, as described above.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pacific Construction, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not knowingly use the contents of your communications for advertising, and we do not authorize our analytics or embedded-media providers to use information from the Site to identify you individually.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to respond to your inquiries, provide requested communications, manage applications, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Job-application information is retained in accordance with applicable employment-record requirements.

7. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and elsewhere. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers of personal information from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland.

9. Your Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know / access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you;
  • Delete personal information we have collected, subject to exceptions;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell personal information for money; to the extent any use of advertising/analytics cookies is considered “sharing” under California law, you may opt out via our cookie banner);
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require this option); and
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

You may submit a request using the contact details in Section 11. We will verify your request before responding, and you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We respond to rights requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
